A heavily traveled traffic artery through the heart of Munich, this six-lane bridge crosses the River Isar at Wittelsbacherstrasse and separates the big city atmosphere of the north bank to the more easygoing environment in the southern half of the city. It was the sweeping geometric lines of the bridge and the rushing water beneath in which attracted me to the site.
